Liverpool can be very happy with their transfer business this summer.

Deals for Fabinho, Alisson and Xherdan Shaqiri have been agreed, while they’ve managed to keep hold of trio Mohamed Salah, Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.

But it was deal that was completed 12 months ago that is probably the most exciting.

After chasing him last summer to no avail, Liverpool managed to sign Naby Keita from RB Leipzig with the deal going through 12 months later.

The midfielder finally arrived at the club this summer and has impressed in pre-season so far.

The Reds will end up paying around £52.75 million for the 23-year-old.

As you’d expect, fans and pundits are very much looking forward to watching the Guinean international in action.

In fact, Jamie Redknapp is so excited that he named Keita in his ’10 Premier League players to watch’ ahead of the new season.

“Keita’s a little powerhouse — an all-action hero in midfield. He has a great touch, will make goals and score them,” Redknapp wrote.

REDKNAPP THINKS KEITA COULD GET INTO TROUBLE

However, the Sky Sports pundit also believes there’s an aspect of Keita’s game that could get him into trouble - and fears what’ll happen when Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United come to town.

“There is also devilment in his play and that could get him in trouble. We saw that last season when he was sent off four times,” Redknapp added.

“When Manchester United visit Anfield in December, I’m sure they’ll use every trick in the book to try to wind him up!

“But if he keeps his cool, he can be such an important player.”

You can see it now, can’t you?

The likes of Ander Herrera and Nemanja Matic smashing into Keita at Anfield in an attempt to rattle him.

It’s something that Jose Mourinho would relish and it’s certainly something that could work against a fiery character like Keita.

Klopp will just be hoping the midfielder will be familiar with English football by December and will have learned from his previous misdemeanors.
