Kurt Angle doesn't have a great deal left to achieve in the WWE, even though he's regularly involved in storylines on television.

That's just the nature of playing the role of a general manager in WWE, whether that's on Monday Night RAW or SmackDown LIVE.

GENERAL MANAGER

On the red brand, that's usually revolving around The Authority, and Angle was heavily featured opposite them heading into WrestleMania 34.

At the Grandest Stage of Them All in New Orleans earlier this year, he was on the winning side as Triple H and Stephanie McMahon succumbed to a significant defeat.

However, it was Ronda Rousey that rightfully stole all of the headlines for her fantastic performance in her debut match - and Angle has been involved in Rousey's storylines ever since every Monday night.

There's also the inclusion of Constable Baron Corbin, with sources initially speculating that it could lead to a match between the pair down the line in what could prove to be another power struggle.

The Olympic gold medalist, however, has been recently featured in the storyline featuring Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns ahead of their Universal Championship match at SummerSlam.

Angle admitted on television that The Beast is the worst Universal Champion the WWE has had and over the weekend, Angle answered a world championship question of his own during his regular Facebook Q&A session.

WORLD CHAMPION

When asked about becoming WWE Champion again, Angle admitted that he's hopeful of holding the world title again and would be ready to go should the WWE ever need him in that role.

He posted: "I hope so.

"That’s up to the powers that be. I’m healthy right now. Ready to go if I get called on.”

Evidently, that looks highly unlikely right now, especially since there's always some doubt whenever Angle dons his singlet and is ready to compete.

Despite being one of the all-time greats, Angle hasn't looked incredible in the ring, and there have been more fans worrying about his health than there have been that are excited to see what he can achieve.

There's a reason why he's only had a handful of matches since his return, but some might even argue that he could do a better job of being the Universal Champion than Lesnar himself.

While it's good that he still has those aspirations, it's perhaps borderline impossible for WWE to sign off on a championship run.
