Jurgen Klopp has built the best Liverpool squad in years.

Since his arrival at the club in October 2015, the German has set about improving  every position. He’s been aggressive this summer and the result is a team that could win the Premier League title.

Naby Keita and Fabinho are class midfielders, while Alisson Becker is the goalkeeper that fans have dreamed of for years.

They join a team that already included Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk.

So Klopp deserves plenty of credit for desperately trying to return Liverpool to the top.

The Reds have had some wonderful individual players over the years but as a team, the current one is arguably the strongest they’ve had this century.

Remember, the starting line-up against AC Milan in the 2005 Champions League final included Djimi Traore.

Benitez, Rodgers and Klopp XI

So, what would Liverpool’s all-star XI look like if you included only the best players from the Rafa Benitez, Brendan Rodgers and Klopp eras?

One supporter has picked his best XI, and it looks incredible.

GK | Jerzy Dudek

CB | John Arne Riise

CB | Virgil van Dijk

CB | Sami Hyypia

LM | Philippe Coutinho

CM | Xabi Alonso

CM | Steven Gerrard

RM | Naby Keita

LW | Luis Suarez

ST | Fernando Torres

RW | Mohamed Salah

That front three. Just… wow.

The full XI

Jamie Carragher will be wondering why he hasn’t made the cut. And if you’re going to include Keita, you should probably pick Alisson over Dudek as well.

We already know how devastating Gerrard’s partnerships with Torres and Suarez were.

Rest assured Salah would love to have played with the current Rangers boss.

John Arne Riise and Sami Hyypia were both fan favourites, their reputations helped by the success in the 2005 Champions League.

And while Philippe Coutinho’s decision to join Barcelona didn’t sit well with the supporters, there’s no questioning his immense talent.

It really is a dream team.

The fan clearly believes in Keita to live up to his potential.

The Reds paid £48 million to sign the Guinean midfielder from RB Leipzig and he looks set to be a hit in the Premier League.

His new teammates have already raved about his performances in pre-season.

A Liverpool legend in the making? Perhaps.
