There has been plenty of change in London during the summer.

In fact, the footballing landscape of the capital is hardly recognisable after both Arsenal, and less surprisingly Chelsea, made managerial changes.

Neither side will be playing Champions League football, with the local Underground stations set to be a lot busier on Thursday nights than ever before.

Perhaps the most notable difference though, will be the absence of Arsene Wenger.

After 22 glorious years at the helm of the Gunners, Wenger finally called it quits and Unai Emery was called upon to usher in a new era at the Emirates.

The Spaniard has been a breath of fresh air at a club that was definitely starting to stagnate under a weary Wenger and hopes are high that Emery is the man to restore Arsenal’s Champions League credentials.

The former PSG manager went about the business of overhauling his squad quickly and efficiently bringing in the likes of Stephan Lichsteiner, Sokratis Papastathapolous, Lucas Torreira, Bernd Leno and teenage sensation Matteo Guendouzi.

Chelsea on the other hand, took their time in securing a replacement for the outgoing Antonio Conte, with Maurizio Sarri eventually signing for the Blues.

The Italian has had little time to stamp his mark on the Stamford Bridge side, but if he can produce the kind of football that he did with Napoli, fans are in for some exciting times in west London.

With so many changes happening at two of the biggest clubs in the land, we decided to get your thoughts on who looks set to enjoy a better first season in the Premier League out of the two new boys.

Interestingly, after just over 24 hours, fans believe that Emery is looking the better prepared of the two.

Emery has certainly had more time to set up his side the way he would like to, but if Sarri can hold onto his best players, he could cause a few surprises.

The biggest test of their credentials will be whether or not they can force their way back into the promised land of the top four.

That is no easy task considering some of the sides they’ll have to knock out, but not impossible by any means with two brilliant football minds in the various hot seats.

London looks set to be an incredibly competitive city this year.
