Carragher mugged off Coady on live TV

They were talking about the impressive signings Wolves have made this summer, including the purchases of Diogo Jota, Joao Moutinho and Rui Patricio.

Carragher, despite the fact he had only been back five minutes, couldn’t resist the opportunity to wind up Coady.

“What do you think about the fact Wolves have made a bid for Pepe?” Carragher asked the centre-back, knowing full well Wolves had not made a bid for Pepe.

“For Pepe?” Coady replied, sounding understandably concerned.

Carragher couldn’t hold it in any longer and said to his fellow Scouser: “Only joking!”
