Joe Hart's 12-year stay at Manchester City has finally come to an end.The former England number one has been out of the first-team ever since Pep Guardiola's arrival in 2016, but this time his move is permanent.Hart spent 2016/17 at Torino where he enjoyed some success, before a poor loan spell at West Ham last season where he was eventually usurped by Adrian. Now, he's at Burnley after completing a £4.5m deal to provide cover for the injured duo of Nick Pope and Tom Heaton. He'll likely make his first appearance for the club on Saturday away at Southampton in the Premier League.City then said that fans will be given the chance to pay their respect to Hart for his contribution in the autumn - when the club face Burnley on October 20th.

And it turns out the club are looking to pay their own respects in a very odd manner.

Paul Hirst of The Times broke the news that City are looking to name one of their training pitches after Hart in recognition of his 12 years of service.

No, it's not a parody account.

A bizarre gesture, but one which goes to show the impact Hart had at the club.

During City's first title win in 2011/12, the Englishman was instrumental between the sticks.

He also played a huge part in their 2013/14 triumph, but Manuel Pellegrini did put Willy Caballero ahead of him for certain times in that campaign.

In the end, his error-prone ways did get the best of him for both club and country, with his ill-fated time at Euro 2016 really the final nail in his coffin.

Nevertheless, he does deserve respect and former City teammates Sergio Aguero and Raheem Sterling posted some lovely tributes to Hart after the completed his move.

Fair play, lads.
