SummerSlam is now less than two weeks away and although the card is completely stacked, it looks like fans won't be seeing one match they were hoping for. Rumours suggested that John Cena and The Undertaker would meet again in Brooklyn, over four months after they went to war at WrestleMania.

NO BUILD

However, that is almost certainly not going to happen.

There has been absolutely no mention of either man on SmackDown or RAW heading into this months pay-per-view and the backstage feeling is that the match is off.

Whether it was actually ever on is another matter. Still, though, that didn't stop fans from hoping to see it.

A DIFFERENT SUMMERSLAM

Without Cena or 'Taker on the SummerSlam card, 2018 will be the first time in this millennium that neither one will be at "The Biggest Party of the Summer" - and that's a pretty crazy stat.

In fact, we've seen very little of either man at all this year.

That's not too surprising for The Phenom, considering he's 53-years-old and was supposed to have retired in 2017, before making a massive comeback earlier this year.

But not seeing much of "The Leader of the Cenation" takes some getting used to, considering he's been a huge part of WWE for the last 16 years.

Despite not being in the ring as regularly as before, that clearly hasn't stopped Cena from hitting the gym and staying in shape.

A NEW LOOK

In fact, he took to Twitter yesterday to show off his new physique - revealing that he's dropped a massive 20lbs - and is looking more trimmed than ever.

Damn, that's pretty impressive - and there's a reason for his new look.

TRANSITIONING TO HOLLYWOOD

Cena is currently working on an upcoming Jackie Chan film - and he revealed that the results have come thanks to a programme suggested by the man himself.

That film is scheduled to come out sometime in 2019 - and as the "16-time world champ" is currently pre-occupied with that, perhaps it's one of the reasons that we won't see him and 'Taker at SummerSlam.
