It’s still a bit strange seeing Cristiano Ronaldo in Juventus training gear as he prepares for his debut campaign in Turin. The sight of the Portuguese superstar in black and white, rather than all white, will take some getting used to.Ronaldo left Real Madrid after nine hugely successful seasons at the Bernabeu, agreeing to join Juve in a staggering £99.2 million deal.Despite the five-time Ballon d’Or winner’s advancing years - he turns 34 next February - Juve clearly believe they’ve signed a player who remains capable of deciding the biggest matches in both Italy and the Champions League. The Old Lady haven’t won the European football’s most prestigious trophy since 1996 - and they’ve signed Ronaldo to help them end that long wait. The move also suits Ronaldo, who had achieved everything at Madrid.Acutely aware of the fact he is likely to win a record-breaking sixth Ballon d’Or award later this year, regardless of how he performs for Juve between now and December, the world-class forward knows that inspiring his new employers to glory will add further weight to the argument that he’s the greatest footballer of all time.

Costa has been impressed with Ronaldo

However, it will be fascinating to see whether Ronaldo can continue scoring so prolifically in Serie A, which still - rightly or wrongly - has a reputation as a more defensive league.

He certainly has a great group of new teammates, including household names Giorgio Chiellini, Paulo Dybala and Douglas Costa.

Costa, in particular, has been very impressed with what he’s seen from Juve’s star signing so far this summer.

"It is impossible to follow Cristiano Ronaldo in training,” he told reporters. “When we arrive, he is already training, when we leave he is still training, I have never seen a player like that.”

Ronaldo messes up - Dybala and Costa love it

However, days after praising the Portuguese maestro, Costa has uploaded footage of Ronaldo making a rare mistake in training.

Watch it here…

Notice the reaction of both Costa and Dybala, who were on the opposite team of Ronaldo.

Not only did they burst out laughing but they even brought out the ‘Take the L’ Fortnite celebration, made famous in the football world by Antoine Griezmann.

It just goes to show that Ronaldo isn’t immune from training ground banter just because of his status in the game.

He’s just being treated as one of the lads - and that can only be a positive sign.
