The WWE have swept through the independents in the last five years or so to stack their main roster today.

When you look at Sami Zayn, Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, Seth Rollins and Dean Ambrose - just to name a few - they are all men that stopped through Ring of Honor or Japan and made huge names for themselves outside of the WWE.

Vince McMahon and Triple H were smart enough to bring them all in and make them even bigger stars under the WWE banner, but the world is waiting for the day Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks make the same change of scenery.

Of course, all three men have flirted with the WWE banner before, performing in dark matches and in different developmental territories than the NXT we see today.

However, they bet on themselves and they have now become some of the most recognisable and revered names in wrestling.

As part of the Bullet Club - a stable the WWE has raided before - the three men have brought a renewed focus to independent wrestling and the Young Bucks, alongside former WWE man Cody Rhodes, have banded together to create the hotly-anticipated event, All In.

However, according to numerous outlets via Cageside Seats, it's another event that will finally see the WWE step up their efforts to sign them.

Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling will be running a G1 Supercard show at Madison Square Garden next April, an arena that is considered hallowed WWE turf.

That puts ROH and NJPW in MSG the night before WrestleMania 35 takes place at MetLife Stadium in New Jersey - and on the same night that WWE's NXT brand will run a major show of its own at Barclays Center in Brooklyn.

ROH COO Joe Koff told Post Wrestling that the MSG show is currently at 60 per cent sold just from the pre-sale. It's believed the WWE have taken great notice of the business ROH are doing and are looking at stealing Omega and the Young Bucks away.

When the WWE try and make their move is up for debate, but all three men have contracts that expire around the turn of 2019.

Of course, with the billions of dollars the company is raking in on TV deals, they could certainly afford to tempt them away, but all three men have previously said they cherish the art and freedom over money, not to mention the fact they make great money through merchandise as it is.

It could be a tall order for WWE indeed.
