The agent of Arsenal target Abel Hernandez has ruled out a January move for the Palermo striker.

The Gunners have been linked to the 20-year-old recently, as the transfer rumours for the winter window gather speed.

Arsene Wenger has reportedly been after the Uruguayan for a year now and has spoken to his representatives about the possibility of a move to North London.

However, his agent Vincenzo D’Ippolito has admitted that Hernandez has plenty of time to win a move to Arsenal.

D’Ippolito told “Abel is still young, he just turned 20 and so we should leave him tranquil.

“We will see what happens in future. Arsenal? These are dated things now. Everyone likes the player, even in Italy. For now though it is premature to talk.

“He is fine at Palermo. A January exit? I can exclude this. Palermo wouldn't even negotiate as they don't want to sell him.”

Hernandez has made clear his commitment to the Sicilian side and is contracted until 2013 and had been thought to be eager to open talks over a two-year extension.
