Now LeBron James has moved on from the Cleveland Cavaliers to the Los Angeles Lakers in the West, a spot to ascend to the top of the throne has opened up in the Eastern Conference.

There are several contenders that could take over this throne, including Kyrie Irving of the Boston Celtics, Joel Embiid of the Philadelphia 76ers, and Kawhi Leonard of the Toronto Raptors.

However, one player which some think could be the next chosen one in not just the Eastern Conference, but the entire NBA, is Giannis Antetokounmpo of the Milwaukee Bucks.

The face of the Bucks was well on his way to making himself the next superstar of the NBA, as his performances on the court were catching people's eyes, and there was talk of him possibly being an MVP contender.

Being called the next chosen one in the NBA is a lot of pressure, and Giannis must have been feeling it even more after being named the cover star for the new NBA 2K game, an accomplishment which only the best players in the league usually receive.

However, when asked about this pressure, The Greek Freak said he's not feeling it, as he's been dubbed the next big thing in the league since his arrival back in 2013.

Giannis said to EuroHoops: “I felt I was the next chosen one since I arrived in the NBA. There is no pressure on me.”

Now LeBron is playing with the Lakers in the West, it definitely feels like the time has arrived for The Greek Freak to truly show the world what he can do on the court for the Bucks in the East.

Giannis has the capablities to lead his team deep into the playoffs singlehandedly, just like James did last season despite the adversity he faced at the Cavaliers with all their injuries and the complete overhaul of the roster halfway through the season.

Whether or not The Greek Freak is able to live up to those expectations of being the next chosen one though remains to be seen. We'll just have to wait until the 2018-19 season to find out.
