Maurizio Sarri's reign at Chelsea is off to a flyer.

The Blues may have been disappointing against Manchester City in the Community Shield last weekend but their Premier League campaign is up and running.

Chelsea travelled to Huddersfield on the opening weekend and produced a stunning performance, winning 3-0.

N’Golo Kante opened the scoring before Jorginho’s cheeky penalty doubled the lead before half-time.

Eden Hazard’s introduction took Chelsea to another level and the Belgian teed up Pedro for a third in the closing stages.

Chelsea will be top of the league come Saturday night but there’s still one problem - Alvaro Morata.

The Spaniard failed to win over the Chelsea fans last season, scoring just 15 times in 48 appearances.

And his performances in pre-season, in the Community Shield and against Huddersfield have done very little to convince supporters that he’s good enough to lead the line.

But it’s either Morata or Olivier Giroud after Chelsea failed to sign a striker in the summer transfer window.

But they were linked with one - a very good one at that.

Prolific goalscorer Gonzalo Higuain was heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge before he left Juventus for a loan move to AC Milan.

But it already seems that Sarri is regretting not signing the Argentinean following another Morata blank against Huddersfield.

How do we know?

Well, he admitted it himself.

"Higuain? It's a little regret but in the end everyone after the market have a few little regrets,” Sarri admitted.

Chelsea fans certainly won’t enjoy hearing those honest comments from Sarri.

Imagine a midfield three of Kante, Jorginho and Matteo Kovacic with Hazard and Willian or Pedro behind Higuain.

Not bad. Not bad at all.
