Manchester City kicked off the defence of their title with a classy 2-0 victory over Arsenal on Sunday afternoon.
Kevin de Bruyne, David Silva, Leroy Sane and Gabriel Jesus were all missing from the starting XI, but Raheem Sterling and Bernardo Silva's goals earned them the win.
Meanwhile, Arsenal are in a new era following the appointment of Unai Emery as well as several new signings this summer.
Sokratis and Matteo Guendouzi both started but life after Arsene Wenger didn't get off to a great start, and Man City fans were keen to let everyone know about it.
As Pep Guardiola's side strolled to three points, they started singing about Arsenal's former manager, but their Gunners' counterparts produced a brilliant response.
Wenger out, Emery in
Wenger parted ways with Arsenal at the end of the 2017-18 campaign after 22 years in north London which were full of highs and lows.
Emery's arrival, along with acquisitions like Bernd Leno and Lucas Torreira, had many Gooners optimistic about what they can achieve this season.
However, neither of those players started against Man City, and with the score at 2-0, the travelling support had a message for their team's opposition.
What City and Arsenal fans chanted at each other
In the 75th-minute, City supporters began to taunt their rivals by repeating the chant: "He left 'cause you're s***, he left 'cause you're s***, Arsene Wenger, he left 'cause you're s***!"
However, Arsenal fans quickly hit back with a very good response, singing: "He's won more than you, he's won more than you, Arsene Wenger, he's won more than you!"
Wenger v City
Wenger's third and final Premier League title came way back in 2003-04, but most people can agree that his overall time at Arsenal was positive.
The 68-year-old Frenchman won 17 trophies in addition to dealing with the club's stadium change and revolutionising English football's way of thinking.
In contrast, Man City have won the league three times since Arsenal's last triumph but only have 29 trophies to their name in their entire history.
So, Arsenal fans were technically wrong, but the fact they've won 46 trophies in total and Wenger only has 12 less major honours than City by himself speaks volumes.
Next up for the defending champions is the visit of Huddersfield Town, while Emery's Arsenal travel to Chelsea for a London derby.
