Rusev's future with the WWE has been discussed heavily by fans over the past year due to his reputation with the WWE Universe. The Bulgarian Brute's Rusev Day gimmick is a solid fan favourite and it has developed from its early beginnings at the start of the year into one of the most popular gimmicks in the company.Yet, despite his popularity amongst the fans, WWE has hardly given Rusev a push towards the WWE title or the United States title over the past year.Due to this lack of push, there have been rumours that the two-time United States Champion could leave the company soon, possibly after SummerSlam takes place. When a fan asked the man himself about the rumour on Twitter, he responded by saying that he isn't going to quit the WWE because quitting isn't his style.

This isn't the only time that reports of The Bulgarian Brute possibly leaving the WWE have emerged over the past year, as the same reports surfaced when he was scheduled to face The Undertaker at the Greatest Royal Rumble.

Reports stated that Rusev was unhappy with having to face The Deadman in a squash match at the event. The same rumour popped up at SummerSlam last year as well.

He recently did have a WWE title match at Extreme Rules against AJ Styles, but it was a one-and-done match after Styles picked up the win. His last United States title match came at WrestleMania 34, where he lost to Jinder Mahal in a fatal 4-way.

Rusev will be competing at SummerSlam next weekend on the kickoff show in a mixed tag team match alongside his wife and fellow WWE superstar Lana against Andrade 'Cien' Almas and Zelina Vega.

WWE fans will be hoping that this match isn't the last time we see him in the company. If his word on Twitter is to be believed, this shouldn't be the case.
