Even before Ronda Rousey signed for the WWE, the wrestling world was buzzing with the anticipation that she might make the jump.

She may have lost her last two UFC fights - in quite spectacular fashion - but there is still an unmistakable aura about Rousey that hasn't left her since she tore through the competition in the UFC.

Now that she is in the WWE, she only has three televised matches under her belt and the first two - particularly the first - were well, well beyond expectations.

She arguably had the best match of WrestleMania alongside Kurt Angle, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon and in the process, her star power has only grown. In fact, numbers released from WWE's social channels on Facebook and YouTube last week suggest she's the biggest star in the company at present.

As you can see from the image below, she was the most watched video on both channels and by a long way.

In fairness to Roman Reigns, he ranks high on both lists. Paul Heyman's acclaimed promo also did a million views on YouTube, but didn't fair so well on Facebook.

Speaking back in June, Triple H revealed just how determined Rousey is to succeed in the WWE.

“So there was a day when we’re prepping for WrestleMania where she came down the Performance Center and got food poisoning on the way down and just 24 hours straight just throwing up non-stop but we sent medical to her, the whole thing.

These numbers are accurate as of August 11; it's safe to say they will have gained a fair few more views by now. In fact, for YouTube below, the Rousey video is now on 5.4 million.

“Next day she showed up at the Performance Center at the crack of dawn to train and I showed up thinking I was going to do something else and she walked in and I was like, ‘Oh my God, I can’t believe you showed up.’ She’s like, ‘Yeah, let’s go.’

“And she just started going, and going, and going, and going, and going. She just stopped throwing up for a few hours of 24 hours of food poisoning and now she’s starting to change colour and she’s getting greenish but she is going and finally I call her over and I was like, ‘We’re done, this is ludicrous now.’

“She’s like, ‘No, no I got more, I got more. I can go, I can go.’ [But] I’m pulling the plug, ‘We’re done, this is going to be bad for you now’.

“She just will not stop, she is relentless and like her team said afterwards, ‘Yeah, she would have gone all day.’”

Rousey takes on Alexa Bliss this Sunday at SummerSlam for the Raw Women's title.
