The Premier League misses Mario Balotelli.

The eccentric Italian spent a total of four seasons in England’s top-flight - three with Manchester City and a pretty disastrous year at Liverpool.

But it wasn’t just his performances on the pitch that endeared him to football fans.

Balotelli was involved in several bizarre incidents that only he would be involved in.

Hence the 'Why Always Me?' slogan.

These include:

  • Driving to a woman’s prison to “look around”.
  • Winning £25,000 in a casino and giving £1,000 to a homeless man outside.
  • Being stopped by police in Manchester for driving around with £25,000 on the passenger seat. And when asked why, he replied: "Because I'm rich".
  • Firing fireworks out of his bathroom - setting his house on fire in the process.

Yeah, he’s one crazy man.

And one man that played with Balotelli for three years has revealed the two ‘stupidest’ things he’s seen the forward do.

James Milner had the pleasure of playing alongside the unique footballer and, in an interview with FourFourTwo magazine, revealed the two things that stuck in his mind.

"I was there for the Darts incident,” Milner said, speaking of the time Balotelli was fined £100,000 for throwing darts at the club’s youth players.

“At Carrington, there was a leisure area upstairs with a dartboard and a window overlooking the gym, and as people were walking past the gym down below, he was firing darts at them! That's up there with the most stupid things he did.”

But Milner thinks there was a moment crazier than throwing darts at young players - getting into a fight with Micah Richards.

"The most stupid was probably upsetting Micah Richards in training. Micah wanted to rip his head off! Michah's a pretty strong man, and if he loses it, you need to be somewhere else," Milner said.

"He was striding towards Mario and I dived in front of Micah to stop him and then hold him for long enough for a few other lads to jump in."

Having recently turned 28, Balotelli currently plays for Nice in Ligue 1 - scoring an impressive 43 goals in his two seasons in France.

However, reports suggest that he’s angling for a move away from the club before the transfer window shuts.

But are any big clubs willing to take a chance on Balotelli considering his past misdemeanors?
