Just hours after getting off the mark for the new season, Mohamed Salah was involved in a controversial incident whilst driving his car.Salah was leaving the stadium and sat in traffic when Liverpool fans - including several youngsters - surrounded his car asking for photos and autographs. As he slowly crawled forward in his vehicle, Salah ignored them and, instead, decided to browse his phone whilst driving.Rival fans made sure the police were aware, while a Liverpool spokesman said: “The club, after discussion with the player, have made Merseyside Police aware of the footage and the circumstances surrounding it’s capture."We have spoken to the player also and will deal with any follow-up internally."Neither the club or player will be making any further comment on this matter.”

While the police will now deal with the issue of Salah being on his phone whilst driving, there’s another topic of conversation.

Should Salah have given more attention to the fans - especially the young fans - whilst he was pretty much stationary in his car?

Of course, it’s certainly open to interpretation with some saying that it’s the least he can do, while others may say it would be dangerous to do so while on a busy road.

Salah has produced some incredible acts of generosity in his career so far - including helping build a hospital and a school in his hometown of Nagrig.

But rival fans now believe that Salah should have signed a few autographs and posed for a few pictures.

And one Manchester United fan has posted a video of just how Jesse Lingard deals with young fans whilst in his car.

The clip shows Lingard opening his car door to interact with fans, winding down his window to chat with them before getting out and joining in their game of football.

Class.

Of course, the circumstances are different - Salah couldn’t exactly get out on a busy road and play football with the kids.

However, the way Lingard deals with young supporters is sheer class.
