Home ground advantage is one of the key elements in any sporting contest. Not only do you have the support of the crowd on your side, but you know the ins and outs of the venue that you are playing or fighting at.For many years, Vitali and Wladimir Klitschko used a number of different venues in Germany to stage their title fights and it became a home away from home for the Ukrainian brothers.Vitali lost just one of his 35 fights held across the country in his career which came in 2000 against Chris Byrd.Meanwhile, Wladimir's record was even more imposing as he registered a 48-2 record during his illustrious career. However, he lost his last fight in Düsseldorf against Tyson Fury in 2015 and Fury's trainer Ben Davison has discussed the sort of obstacles his fighter had to overcome.Davison who wasn't actually part of Fury's team at the time, has heard about all of the little tricks that would be played. And that includes altering the weighing scales, apparently. After it was pointed out how lean Fury is looking ahead of his next fight on Twitter, his weight vs Klitschko came up in conversation.Despite officially weighing in at 18st 5lbs, Davison revealed that his still relatively new client actually weighed nearly a stone lighter on a different set of scales.

Asked about the difference in readings, Davison was reluctant to go into too much detail but appeared to indicate Klitschko's team thought it would affect Fury mentally.

"Those answers I can’t give but my thoughts are why? because Wlad or his team didn’t think he’d cope mentally with the size advantage, how? I believe a limit was set on the scales before they “clocked off”

Of course, as we know, it didn't affect Fury too much as he shocked the world by ending Klitschko's reign as a world champion.

Nevertheless, it is quite the accusation.

Fury who has had his fair share of negative headlines since that career-defining win is now looking ahead to his next fight against Francesco Pianeta in Belfast on Saturday.

And Deontay Wilder expected to be in attendance, it's fair to expect a quite a show.
