Almost three months on from leaving Aston Villa and John Terry is no closer to finding a new club.

The 37-year-old's future as a professional footballer remains in doubt and there are suggestions he could retire and venture into management.

A move abroad has also been touted amid reports of Terry becoming an ambassador for a betting company, but for now he's just enjoying his summer.

Last month the former Chelsea captain informed his 3.9m Instagram followers that he hadn't retired and was just weighing up his options.

"Just to confirm I haven't retired," he wrote. "I'm currently enjoying my holidays with my family and weighing up ALL my options."

Terry capitalising "all" in his post didn't seem important at the time - but perhaps now it does.

In a bizarre and unexpected career move Terry has become a TV pundit for Egyptian football club Pyramids FC, where he analyses football matches.

TERRY FINDS HIS NICHE

Pyramids are owned by Saudi billionaire Turki al-Sheikh, who has been spending huge amounts of money to attract the likes of Roberto Carlos and Mido to their TV channel.

Ronaldinho, Didier Drogba, Alan Shearer and Rio Ferdinand are also expected to make appearances throughout the season.

So far Terry has covered three games and after one of them he gave some advice to Pyramids' defenders and goalkeeper.

"The defenders need to talk more with each other and move the ball forward to prevent any possible threat," said the ex-England international.

"The goalkeeper also shouldn't get out from his space to face the striker until he's sure the defenders have no chance to cut out the ball."

Terry sure wasn't lying when he said he's been considering "all" options and according to Egyptian journalist Amir Abdel-Halim, he's already made a huge impact.

"The appearance of Terry didn't only add a precious value to the staff of Pyramids TV channel," explained Abdel-Halim.

"It gives the defenders in the Egyptian league a chance to learn from one of the best defenders in the world.

"Seeing Terry alongside Carlos talking about a match in the Egyptian league was something special for the fans. It's a privilege for the players too when such legends hail their performance."

Perhaps Terry has found his new calling.
