The footballing world was devastated when Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain suffered a horrendous injury in the Champions League semi-final against Roma.Liverpool's midfield maestro fell to the turf innocuously and was in a huge amount of pain, punching the turf.It was revealed shortly after that he had seriously damaged ligaments in his knee and would miss England's World Cup campaign.Oxlade-Chamberlain actually kept the severity of the injury away from his teammates so as not to disrupt their Champions League run.However, it was recently revealed by Jurgen Klopp that he would miss the entire 2018/19 season.It's a huge blow from a player who was just hitting the best form of his career and is known as an all-round nice guy.Nevertheless, the former Arsenal man has not let his injury get the better of him, regularly posting positive updates on social media and interacting with his teammates.And Reds youngster Rhian Brewster posted some real touching messages to Oxlade-Chamberlain today on his birthday.It sums up what a positive addition he has been to Klopp's exciting squad, even when he's going through such a tough time.

Brewster is expected to make his return before the New Year and recently spoke about his new bond with Oxlade-Chamberlain during their injury nightmares.

“When you’re seeing everybody else on holiday, and you’re here working and fighting to get fight, it does get boring and annoying,” the England U17 World Cup winner said.

“Me and Ox have been strong together and pushed each other on. Ox has helped me a lot, him being senior, to make me push and push.

“I can’t thank him enough. I’m looking forward to both of us getting back fit and hopefully playing. I’ve made a brother there.”
