Manchester City are still the team to beat in the Premier League.

Despite all the excitement surrounding the likes of Liverpool, City are still the overwhelming favourites to retain their title come the end of the new season.

Pep Guardiola’s juggernaut completely outstripped their opponents last time out, cantering to the title entirely unchallenged.

City were only beaten twice en route to their record-breaking win, securing over 100 points to finish 19 points clear of their closest rival, Manchester United.

Despite being only one of two teams to best City in the league, United never came close to the Sky Blues, falling well off the pace as the season wore on.

For City, watching United’s struggles and Jose Mourinho’s constant belly-aching made for the cherry on top of a very sweet cake.

Now, City have realeased a documentary about their unbelievable season allowing unprecedented access behind the scenes on their journey to glory.

However, a certain Mourinho might not be too pleased with what came out in one of the first episodes shown.

Documenting their clash with City at Old Trafford, the documentary makers appear to mock Jose Mourinho for being a defensive coach.

In the narration, by Academy Award-winning actor Sir Ben Kinglsey no less, Mourinho’s famous park-the-bus style is brought up.

“It is Guardiola versus Mourinho once more; possession versus defence; attacking football versus ‘park-the-bus’“, said the narrator.

The documentary also lingered on images of City fans singing their famous “park-the-bus song” about the Portuguese while cutting to clips of Mourinho dismissing concerns in his post-match press conference.

Interesting. It really looks like the film is going out of its way to make a point about Mourinho.

City have claimed that they did not have editorial control over the documentary but they might not be complaining about this sly little dig at their biggest rival.

You can be sure that Mourinho will have something to say at some point in the near future though.

In fact, you can probably expect another famous rant any day now.
