It feels like forever since we've last seen Neville in the WWE.

The former Cruiserweight Champion has not been seen in the WWE since he reportedly walked out on a Monday Night Raw show at the start of October 2017 after he was scheduled to lose to Enzo Amore.

Since then, there have been numerous reports on his situation, but WWE hasn't commented about it that much at all.

WWE has denied that Neville has left the promotion, and there were positive talks between the two over a possible return in November 2017 but nothing is yet to materialize from that.

Reports in January stated that his contract with WWE is now frozen, meaning he will be kept under contract indefinitely and unable to wrestle anywhere else in the world until a release is agreed upon.

Neville's WWE Status

Not much else has been said by the WWE about Neville's situation, until Triple H was asked to provide an update during a conference call with the media promoting NXT Takeover: Brooklyn IV this weekend.

The Game was asked what Neville's status was with the company, to which he said he wasn't completely sure and time will tell where he ends up.

Triple H said, via Wrestling Inc: "I'm not 100% positive, I would need to go back and look into that.

"To me, one of the most talented guys in the world. Time will see where that ends up."

NXT UK

It still sounds like WWE wants to find a way to bring Neville back to the company, but whether or not that happens though remains to be seen.

One way they could bring him back is through the NXT UK brand, to which Triple H said he would be a great fit, praising his work for the WWE so far.

He said: "You are 100% right, [Neville] is one of the most talented guys in the world.

"I love the time that he spent with us in NXT, he did a great job of building up the Cruiserweight division on 205 [Live]. Time will see where that ends up."

Neville reportedly moved back to the UK last March and has kept a low profile since, so he's in the perfect spot to be used for NXT UK if that's the way he wants to return to the WWE, and if he wants to return.
