Chelsea have a habit of signing brothers.

Eden Hazard’s two brothers, Kylian and Thorgan, were at the club the same time as the Belgian superstar, while Chelsea also snapped by both of Charly Musonda’s brothers when he was at the club.

It’s very much a family affair at Stamford Bridge.

But can you remember when Chelsea signed three young brothers from Luton Town back in January 2012?

The Blues forked out a five-figure to sign twins Rio and Cole Dasilva, 12, as well as their 13-year-old brother Jay.

If all three went on to represent the first-team, Luton were set for more than £1 million.

"This is a historic deal to see three brothers transferred together," said Luton head of youth Gregg Broughton at the time.

But six-and-a-year years later, what has happened to Rio Dasilva, Cole Dasilva and Jay Dasilva?

Let’s take a look:

Rio Dasilva, 19

Rio appears to be the least successful brother in the footballing world.

He didn’t make the grade at Chelsea and left at the Under-16 level.

Rio had a trial with Reading in January 2017 but was last seen playing for Dunstable Town in the Southern League Division One Central.

Cole Dasilva, 19

Cole remained at Chelsea right until the end of last season, representing various youth sides.

Cole scored in Chelsea’s FA Youth Cup victory against Manchester City back in April 2017, where they won the first-leg 5-1.

Cole also played for Wales at Under-20 level.

Just last week, Cole signed for Brentford B side from Chelsea.

Jay Dasilva, 20

Without doubt the most talented brother, it seems.

Jay is actually still contracted to Chelsea having impressed at youth level, helping the club win the 2015/16 UEFA Youth League.

He’s played in the Football League, too.

In December 2016, Jay was loaned to Charlton in League One and remained at Valley Parade for the following season - where he won the Fans’ Player of the Year award.

In fact, he was so impressive that Charlton boss Lee Bowyer claimed that the left-back was better than Ashley Cole was at the same age.

This summer, Jay moved on loan to Championship side Bristol City on a season-long loan.

Chelsea clearly rate him highly, signing him on a four-year deal at Stamford Bridge last summer.

The defender has also represented England U21’s on five occasions having played for the Three Lions at Under-16, Under-17, Under-18, Under-19 and Under-20 level.
