Stevenage will be without midfielder Darren Murphy for the visit of Torquay after it was confirmed he had broken his leg in a reserve team game.

The 25-year old underwent surgery on a left lower fibula fracture and is unlikely to play again this season.

It is a cruel blow for the player who was just 30 minutes into his comeback from a dislocated shoulder suffered earlier in the season.

The only other player to miss out will be Chris Beardsley, who is still recovering from a dislocated shoulder.

Stacy Long will return after serving a one-match suspension and full-back Ronnie Henry will start in what will be his 250th appearance for the club.

Torquay boss Paul Buckle is likely to be without last season`s leading goalscorer Elliott Benyon for the trip.

Benyon looks set to miss out for the second game running after it emerged he has been suffering from a knee injury and will not be risked until he is 100% fit.

New signing Danny Senda will be hoping for a place in the squad but he is unlikely to make the starting line-up due to a lack of match fitness after missing out on a year`s worth of action through injury.

Striker Martin Gritton will be hoping to retain his place in the first XI, although Buckle may revert back to playing Chris Zebroski as a lone striker after last weekend`s defeat saw them lose top spot.
