WWE's second biggest event of the year takes place this weekend in SummerSlam, and it will have a big effect on how the company books their shows for the rest of the year.

The major change could be what happens in what is expected to be the main event of the show; the Universal Championship match between Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns.

This will be the third time this year these two face each other in the ring for Raw's top prize after previous meetings at WrestleMania 34 and the Greatest Royal Rumble.

In both of those occasions, The Beast was able to get the better of The Big Dog and retain the Universal title.

However, with Lesnar reportedly looking to go back to UFC soon, things could be different for their third meeting this weekend, and future WWE house show bookings have indicated just that.

According to upcoming WWE live event cards taking place in London and Shanghai soon, via Wrestling News, in what could potentially be a SummerSlam spoiler, both events will be headlined with Roman Reigns vs Braun Strowman.

What this means is if Lesnar is leaving WWE, he will be dropping the Universal Championship to either Reigns or Strowman cashing in his Money in the Bank contract.

Earlier on in the night at WWE's biggest party of the summer, The Monster Among Men will be defending his Money in the Bank contract for a shot at the Universal title against Kevin Owens.

However, if these match cards for WWE's upcoming live events are correct, it looks like Strowman will be winning his match against The Prizefighter at SummerSlam this weekend.

Reigns' and Strowman's feud from 2017 was one of the more entertaining feuds from the year, as it provided fans with some great moments and matches despite the absence of the Universal Championship on Raw.

Add in the Universal title this time around and this feud should be fantastic and a great way to keep the main event scene on Raw occupied for the rest of the year.
