The Premier League's transfer window may be shut but the rest of Europe is still very much able to get things done.

It's Serie A that's arguably having the most interesting window, with a host of Italian giants dragging up memories of the 90's with some big deals.

Outside of Italy, however, things have been uncharacteristically quiet, as Paris Saint-Germain, Bayern Munich, and Real Madrid have all done relatively little business.

And despite Real's lack of any notable signings and loss of their star player, their two main rivals have strengthened.

Atletico Madrid have brought in the likes of Thomas Lemar and Gelson Martins to build on their Europa League win last term.

Barcelona's business, however, still feels a little like a work in progress, despite the ever-nearing end of the window.

They've brought in Malcom from Bordeaux, Clement Lenglet from Sevilla, Arturo Vidal from Bayern Munich, and Arthur from Gremio - but it still feels like there's more to come.

And, according to AS, there might be huge deals nearing for both Barca and PSG in one go.

The Spanish outlet reports that the presidents of both clubs met in Madrid on Friday to discuss moves for Adrien Rabiot and Ousmane Dembele.

AS claims that Rabiot rejecting his latest contract offer has forced the Parisians' hand somewhat - despite their original threat that doing so would result in him rotting on their bench all season.

Dembele, on the other hand, supposedly wants to stay in Catalonia but his lack of progress last year has left Barca willing to listen to the right offer.

Effectively swapping the two players - even if the fee for Dembele would surely be far higher, considering his recent move and longer contract - does seem sensible, with neither team entirely happy with what they've got.

Teaming up Dembele with Kylian Mbappe at PSG is a frightening thought, while Barca will have wanted to strengthen their midfield even before Andres Iniesta and Paulinho both left for Asia.

This would be one of the biggest deals of the window - and it looks like it might be on.
