The Los Angeles Lakers' young core will be under pressure to win next season following the arrival of LeBron James.Despite still being relatively inexperienced, there will be an expectation for them to raise their game and help the team reach its goal of returning to the playoffs. It'll be interesting to see how the youngsters on the roster respond to the pressure but Josh Hart doesn't believe it'll be a problem. The shooting guard will be entering his second year in the league but he's ready to take on the challenge of playing alongside the best player in the league.“You have someone like that who has been to eight straight NBA Finals and you mix him in with guys who want to win, guys who are hungry and guys that want to prove themselves, I think that’s the biggest thing,” Hart said, per Spectrum Sportsnet LA.As well as James, the Lakers re-signed Kentavious Caldwell-Pope and added veteran quartet Rajon Rondo, Lance Stephenson, JaVale McGee and Michael Beasley. They'll bring the experience and leadership that's missing on the LA roster but much of the team's hopes will rest on their talented young stars.

Raised expectations

The likes of Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma and Lonzo Ball will be expected to play a major role next year and Hart believes they are capable of stepping up to the plate because of their mentality.

“Our young guys, we’re wise beyond our years in the sense of we don’t care who gets the credit, and we want to win," he said.

"You can’t win when every other guy has their own agenda, but when everyone is bought in and everyone is playing together and playing basketball the right way, that’s where brotherhood forms and that’s where winning starts.

"Hopefully we’ll have a lot of that this year.”

The shooting guard will also have his part to play and has excited Lakers fans with his play in the Summer League where he was named as the MVP.

The 23-year-old has already demonstrated that he can be a reliable three-and-D player and those skills will be crucial on this roster.

Playing with LeBron will obviously take some getting used to and will come with a lot of scrutiny.

But the attitude of the young players means they'll figure things out quite quickly as they've put together a group of unselfish guys who value winning above all else.
