The Miz has given his honest take about the WWE Title.

The Miz was drafted to the ECW brand in 2007 where he formed a partnership with John Morrison. Together, they won the WWE Tag Team Championship and World Tag Team Championship.

After being drafted to Raw in 2009, he won the United States Championship twice, tag team titles with John Cena, Damien Mizdow, and twice with Big Show, as well as the 2010 Raw Money in the Bank ladder match.

He cashed in his briefcase to win the WWE Championship in November 2010 and went on to hold for six months.

He is also the third longest-reigning Intercontinental Champion in WWE history by combined days, behind only Don Muraco and Pedro Morales.

If you recall, the biggest match of The Miz’s career was when defeated John Cena for the WWE Championship back at WrestleMania 27 in 2011 in the main event.

This marked the only time that WWE had booked The Miz in the main event of the biggest event of the year for the sports entertainment company.

Sky Sports recently interviewed The Miz to promote the upcoming SummerSlam pay-per-view event that takes place this Sunday (August 19, 2018) in Brooklyn, New York at the Barclays Center on the WWE Network.

He’ll be facing Daniel Bryan in a singles event at this upcoming show put on by the sports entertainment company. Here is what he had to say about the WWE Title and AJ Styles (via Sportskeeda).

“Don’t you? Name a time it’s been in the main event. Why is it not in the main event? If the Universal Championship not on the card, why is that title not in the main event? Back when I first started in the WWE, there was not a pay-per-view where that WWE Championship OR the World Heavyweight Championship was not in that spot.”

“Sometimes I feel like AJ just coasts. He’s great in the ring, one of the best in ring performers that the WWE has ever had. He’s the longest reigning WWE Champion (on SD Live). But I feel like I can elevate that title more than he can.”

Styles is slated to defend the WWE Title against Samoa Joe at this event. What are your thoughts on the comments made by The Miz?
