It’s been a pretty crazy week for Manchester City. The release of their ‘All or Nothing’ documentary on Amazon Prime has made headlines and has clearly upset Jose Mourinho. The documentary referred to Mourinho’s negative style of play - something that the Portuguese boss took exception to."You can have a fantastic movie while respecting others,” Mourinho said.“You don't need to be disrespectful to have a fantastic movie. You can be a rich club and buy the best players in the world but you cannot buy class and they showed that clearly, that was really obvious."But City were back to business on Sunday as last season’s Premier League champions returned to the Etihad for their clash against Huddersfield. And the club had an interesting plan to welcome the players back to action at home. The club sent out blue confetti with season tickets and, on the packaging, they wrote: “At our first home match, bring your scarf and throw this confetti in the air when the Champions walk out!”

And it seems plenty of fans remembered to pack their confetti as they made their way to the Etihad this morning.

That’s because, as the teams walked out, fans did as they were told and threw loads of confetti into the air and onto the pitch. The club also helped by firing out loads of confetti themselves.

While the City fans might have enjoyed it, rival fans were busy mocking them mercilessly on social media.

FANS WERE MOCKING MAN CITY

Just check out some of the reaction:

With some confetti still on the pitch, City showed exactly why they’re champions with a very convincing victory over Huddersfield.

A Sergio Aguero hat-trick plus goals from Gabriel Jesus, David Silva and a Terence Kongolo own-goal gave them an easy 6-1 victory over David Wagner’s side.

City fans probably won’t care about being mocked about a bit of confetti if they yet win another title this season.
