Manchester United fans were left bitterly disappointed by their performance against Brighton & Hove Albion.
Having sunk to defeat at the Amex Stadium at the backend of last season, there was a feeling of deja vu for supporters as the Red Devils once again came unstuck on the south coast.
Glenn Murray opened the scoring for the Seagulls - aided by Eric Bailly's error - before Shane Duffy swiftly doubled their advantage after United failed to clear a corner.
Romelu Lukaku was on hand for his first goal of the season in the 34th minute, but United conceded a penalty just before the break after a poor challenge from Bailly.
Despite David de Gea getting his boots to the ball, Pascal Gross made no mistake from the penalty spot and fired the home side into a 3-1 advantage.

The score would remain that way until deep into stoppage time when the visitors got a spot kick of their own, which Paul Pogba duly converted as he did against Leicester City.
Regardless of the late rally, though, this weekend's performance has seen Jose Mourinho and United hammered with criticism.
Some even considered it one of the club's very worst showings since the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson back in 2013.
Gary Neville's Twitter activity
That considered, the recent history of United itself became a widespread topic of discussion on Sunday morning and none other than Gary Neville entered the debate on Monday.
Neville was reporting live for Sky Sports during the game and was highly critical of the United side, taking aim at the club's defence in particular.
However, it was Ferguson that Neville was left to tweet about on Monday morning after journalist Ian Ladyman suggested even the great man 'lost his way' in the transfer window latterly.
It was safe to say Neville was having absolutely none of that and his reply was pretty difficult to argue with - check it out below:
Meanwhile, a blogger claimed Ferguson left United with an ageing squad - to which he responded:
Ferguson certainly wasn't brash when it came to the transfer window, but was incredibly shrewd and calculated throughout his reign at Old Trafford.
That is no better demonstrated than via the purchase of Robin van Persie before his final season in a purchase that essentially secured them the league title that year.
And like Neville says in his tweet, it's what has happened at United since Ferguson's departure that is causing the turmoil they currently find themselves in.
Although Mourinho has done by far the best of the three, fans are beginning to wonder what they've gained from him, Louis van Gaal and David Moyes over the last five years.
Of course, it's too early in the season to go overboard right now but discontent has been circulating at the club all summer long and something has to change.
