SummerSlam was last night and honestly, we're on a bit of a comedown from what happened at the WWE's biggest show of the summer. Roman Reigns finally slayed the beast and captured the WWE Universal Championship, while Seth Rollins came out on top against Dolph Ziggler to be crowned the new Intercontinental Champion, AJ Styles held on to his WWE Championship and Ronda Rousey won her first title in the WWE by basically squashing an Alexa Bliss who had no tricks up her sleeve. But it was another squash match that had a lot of people talking and it wasn't for the right reasons at all.

Big Strong Strowman

In victory and defeat, Vince McMahon has an obsession with "making people look strong". That's fine, it helps to build stars that even if they lose - they had a chance and stood up to the test.

And then there are times when it goes way too far. Last night, when Kevin Owens went up against Braun Strowman and it went too far, just like it can. Why? Because Strowman has to look ridiculously strong even when he wins.

Here's how the match went. The bell rings, Strowman hits Owens in the corner, Strowman bulldozes Owens on the floor, an Owens kick does nothing, Braun chokeslams KO on the ramp, running powerslam in the ring, 1-2-3.

That was it. KO did nothing but run away and bump for Braun.

The man who beat John Cena on his debut, who has won the Universal, Intercontinental, and United States Championships, and is one of the best wrestlers in the entire world, reduced to a squash match on the WWE's second-biggest show of the year.

It was pathetic. And WWE fans made their feelings known:

It's sad to see Kevin Owens being used like this. He deserves so much better.
