We’re two weeks into the Premier League season and the table is already taking shape. Many fans and pundits predicted Manchester City would win a consecutive league title with Liverpool running them fairly close. And those two sides already occupy the top two slots having won both of their matches with relative ease. Then there’s Arsenal, who have lost to both Manchester City and Chelsea with Unai Emery’s side already playing catch up.Some fans and pundits may already want to tweak their pre-season predictions but Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher waited until every side have played twice to make theirs. On Monday Night Football, the two pundits had to predict the league’s champions, the top four, the top six challengers, the top goalscorer, the Player of the Year, the young talent and the one to watch. And here is what they went for:

So, they both went for City to be champions - no real surprises there.

And then they predicted that the top-four would be made up of Liverpool, Manchester United and Spurs.

Again, they both agreed that Everton would challenge for the top six.

But they disagreed when it came to the top goalscorer prediction.

Carragher thinks Harry Kane will win the Golden Boot, whereas Gary Neville backed City’s Sergio Aguero - who scored a hat-trick against Huddersfield at the weekend.

Interestingly, they both opted for 32-year-old David Silva in their Player of the Year prediction.

As for the Young Player, Neville stayed with the City theme and picked 18-year-old Phil Foden.

As for Carragher, he also went for an 18-year-old in the form of Fulham’s Ryan Sessegnon.

Finally, in the ‘One to watch’ category, they both went for new Liverpool signings.

Neville went for goalkeeper Alisson - who has kept two clean sheets so far - and Carragher urged fans to watch out for Naby Keita.

We'll find out in May which one will have the bragging rights...
