It's fair to say that not many saw the Tyson Fury-Deontay Wilder fight coming a few weeks ago, let alone a few months ago.It seemed that Anthony Joshua was destined to take on Wilder in a mouthwatering clash after he defeated Joseph Parker in Cardiff, but negotiations have hit a brick wall over recent months.Though Joshua has lined two fights up at Wembley, he will meet mandatory challenger Alexander Povetkin and his second is still undecided, with everyone previously expecting the slot to be filled by Wilder.Tyson Fury meanwhile, made his boxing comeback with routine victories over Sefer Seferi in Manchester and Francesco Pianeta in Belfast and has since taunted AJ and Eddie Hearn over his indecision over the Wilder bout. And while Fury teased his viewers with the prospect of stealing in to pip Joshua to the megafight, no one in boxing took him too seriously. But at the end of July, he announced that negotiations with the American's camp were very close to being done.Of course, AJ hadn't been the only Brit trying to land a shot at Wilder before Fury, with Dillian Whyte also hoping to reach an agreement.Wilder has frequently dismissed 'The Body Snatcher', though, despite being ranked at No.1 by the WBC.Watching the theatrics and staredown between Wilder and Fury on Saturday night, Whyte took to Instagram to mock his two heavyweight rivals.Fury, who is never afraid to speak his mind on social media, didn't take long to reply and left a brutal comment on the post.

Well, this feud has continued to rumble on as Whyte has aimed a fresh shot at 'The Gypsy King' on Twitter by posting:

"Unlike you I’ll fight anyone. @Tyson_Fury u refused to fight me as I knocked you down so many times in sparring and if you pull out in November with yet another fake injury I’m more than happy to take your place and smash up that other coward @BronzeBomber."

Having seen off Joseph Parker, Whyte is understandably full of confidence and looking for his next big fight. His claims of knocking Fury down in sparring sessions certainly raise some interesting questions.

Fury sparred with Whyte as he prepared to take on David Haye back in 2013, although Haye would later pull out of the fight.

Whether Whyte would be able to challenge Fury or Wilder is questionable though. For now, it looks like 'The Body Snatcher' is more likely to take on Dereck Chisora in what would be an intriguing rematch.
