It's not the fight we expected, but it's got the potential to be a cracker nonetheless.

With everyone in the boxing world expecting Anthony Joshua to confirm his showdown fight with Deontay Wilder, Tyson Fury stole in and took advantage of their hesitation to agree a fight with the American instead.

The Gypsy King has made his boxing comeback earlier this year with straightforward wins against Sefer Seferi at the M.E.N. and against  Francesco Pianeta in Belfast.

Wilder, meanwhile, last fought in March, when he saw off Luis Ortiz in New York.

And although the American heavyweight was seemingly on a collision course with Joshua for a world title shot, that has been put to one side for now after negotiations ground to a halt.

With Fury set to take on Wilder later this year in Las Vegas, bets have already been flooding in for the fight, and now Ladbrokes have revealed where the money has been going.

The betting company has stated that 84 per cent of all placed bets have been on the Bronze Bomber to come through in Vegas.

Wilder, who boasts an impressive record of 40 wins, is favourite at 5/6 - while Fury is being priced at 10/11 to win as he takes on the toughest challenge of his career so far.

Alex Apati of Ladbrokes said: "We've pushed Fury's odds out for this clash following his performance at the weekend.

"Our traders clearly aren't convinced with The Gypsy King and punters seem to think he'll face the first defeat of his professional career later this year."

After Fury's win at Windsor Park, Wilder went into the ring and said: "It's on, it's official.

"It's what we have been waiting for, the best versus the best."

Fury responded: "Now he gets the chance to fight the Lineal champ.

"One thing I promise when I go to Las Vegas is I am knocking you the f*** out boy."

Whether the fight goes with the money or not, it certainly promises to be a cracker.
