After comprehensively defeating Carlos Takam at The O2 last month, Dereck Chisora's plan to challenge Dillian White to a rematch after his victory over Joseph Parker in the main event was foiled by the man himself.

The two Londoners have been engaged in a nasty feud in recent times, highlighted by their exchange at their press conference in 2016, which saw 'Del Boy' hurl a table at Whyte.

Chisora previously claimed in March 2017 he had offered Whyte £1.1 million for a rematch but was turned down by the WBC silver heavyweight title-holder.

"We're just waiting for Eddie to let us know what we're going to do," Chisora told Sky Sports.

"I want that rematch with Dillian. He didn't want me in the ring. He told them: 'Don't let Dereck Chisora in the ring.'"

Asked what he intended to say, Chisora said: "Let's have the rematch, what's the problem?

"I just want to fight Dillian Whyte. He never beat me the first time, so I want to show the people.

"It's not even revenge. It's a great fight, people want it, and I want to give it to the fans."

Chisora already appeared to be playing mind games as he gave a critical analysis of Whyte's performance against New Zealander, Joseph Parker.

"Terrible, Z." said Chisora, when asked to provide a rating for the Jamaican-born fighter.

Unsurprisingly, however, he was far more positive regarding his own performance that night, which saw him knock out Carlos Takam in a potential fight of the year contender.

Chisora added: "Loads of people wrote me off.

"It felt great. I knew the knockout was going to come, but I didn't know what round.

"At the beginning of the fight, he came so tough, he was very strong. I had to change the game-plan straight away."

Chisora will be hoping for retribution if terms can be agreed on a rematch after controversially losing on a split decision when the two met on the undercard of Anthony Joshua v Eric Molina.
