The Premier League has been blessed with some of the best overseas players - Dennis Bergkamp, Ruud van Nistelrooy, Yakubu (joking, of course). The list really is endless.

Two who always jump into the debate, are Thierry Henry and Sergio Aguero.

Henry first moved to the Premier League in 1999 with Arsenal, where he was reunited with manager Arsene Wenger. The forward had come from an unsuccessful stint at Juventus for £11 million, with many expecting the Frenchman to be frightened off by the physicality of the English game.

Without a goal in his first eight appearances for Arsenal, it seemed the skeptics were right. Wenger had decided to turn Henry, who previously featured as a wider player, into more of a striker, and Henry himself stated that he had to be "re-taught everything about the art of striking".

But it proved to be a master-stroke from Arsenal's long-term manager, as Henry went on to finish his first season at the club with an impressive 26 goals, and the rest, as they say, is history.

The Frenchman went on to win two Premier League titles and two FA Cups, bagging 175 league goals in 258 appearances.

Aguero, on the other hand, didn't need any time to get into the swing of English football.

Signing for Manchester City in July 2011 for £38 million from Atletico Madrid, Aguero was handed his Premier League debut the following month.

Coming on in the 59th minute, the Argentine bagged himself two goals and an assist to secure a 4-0 victory over Swansea, in a debut that some pundits claimed to be among the 'best ever' from a player.

Since then, the Argentine has gone on to win three League titles, three League Cups, and has been named City's Player of the Year on two occasions with a Premier League goal record of 146 in 208 games.

So in a recent poll GiveMeSport created on Facebook earlier this week, football fans were asked to vote who of Aguero and Henry would they consider to be the best overseas player to grace the Premier League.

As you can see in the results below, there wasn't much of a contest after 88,000 votes.

Sorry Aguero fans but 81-19 is a pretty convincing scoreline.

Of course, there are plenty of other foreign players who have made a name for themselves in England's top division but there's no doubt Henry will always be considered a legend on these shores.
