One of the most talked about matches from SummerSlam last weekend is the triple threat SmackDown Women's Championship match between Carmella, Charlotte Flair, and Becky Lynch.

Flair was able to win the match by pinning Carmella in the middle of the ring, but it was what happened after the clash that caught everybody's eye, as Lynch turned heel on the new SmackDown Women's Champion.

Despite being a heel, WWE fans cheered for Becky as she attacked Charlotte. They did the same during the week on SmackDown Live when the two scuffled again, and even booed Flair when she got the upper hand.

Speaking on The Steve Austin Show, via Wrestling Inc, Stone Cold Steve Austin reflected on The Irish Lass Kicker's heel turn on The Queen, stating that WWE should have done it the other way around as Charlotte is better as a heel and fans want to cheer for Becky.

The Texas Rattlesnake said: "I'm a fan of all the women in this match, but I love Charlotte as a heel. Becky, she's a better babyface than heel, but she's that fiery individual that people just really love, so I'm wondering if they'll take her as a heel.

"And I thought Charlotte was very effective in the sell job, kind of sitting there on her ass. I don't know, awestruck, or dumbfounded, or just devastated of what happened to her. So I thought her selling on the backend of that was very strong and very effective."

Austin is right in his analysis, and WWE could already have plans in place to react to what they've seen from Lynch's heel turn so far.

According to Ringside News, Dave Metzer noted on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE could switch the SmackDown Women's title back to Carmella so Becky would have an actual heel to chase if they changer her back to a babyface.

This could be a very easy fix to the situation, but WWE may want to wait it out and see how things go.

We've seen them ignore crowd reactions to superstars before in the past so, in truth, it might not be that big of a problem for them.
