Sergio Aguero is one of the greatest Premier League strikers of all time, there's no doubt about that.

The Argentine forward is into his eighth season at Manchester City, where has has scored 146 goals in 208 games.

The 30-year-old's goalscoring prowess has helped his side to three Premier League titles.

His accomplishments have been recognised by Alan Shearer, who claimed that Aguero is the greatest foreign player to play in the Premier League.

"He was deadly again," Shearer wrote after his hat-trick against Huddersfield last week.

"Now on nine Premier League hat-tricks and only two behind me. The best foreign player to play in the Premier League. A great centre-forward with no weaknesses."

That's quite a bold statement. His comments have opened up a great debate over who really is the best foreign import.

Aguero certainly has some stern competition. Didier Drogba, Cristiano Ronaldo, Dennis Bergkamp, Eric Cantona and Thierry Henry are just a few that expressed their greatness in the Premier League.

Peter Crouch has now answered the question, and he believes Henry is the Premier League's top foreign import.

In response to Shearer's comments on Aguero, he said, per the Daily Mail: "The best foreign player we have seen in the Premier League? No. That's a step too far.

"I saw Alan Shearer hand that description to Aguero this week but, as much as I respect Alan, I can't agree. My choice would be Thierry Henry.

"The benchmark for these players, however, was set by Henry. He was incredible.

"Henry had arrogance, flair, but the thing that sticks in my mind is his speed.

"He's the only footballer I have seen who set off like an Olympic sprinter. His finishing and close control weren't bad either!

"What an amazing player. We shouldn't forget what he was doing 15 years ago and we shouldn't forget what was happening 25 years ago, either.

"We only get to enjoy men such as Aguero and others now because of the brilliance of those who arrived at the inception of the Premier League.

"As it stands, Henry leads the way and it will take something very special for that to change."

There's a lot of people that would agree with Crouch here - Henry was quite simply a genius.
