Rey Mysterio is expected to be back in the WWE very soon which is bound to delight WWE fans.

Recent reports have stated that The Master of the 619 is expected to be back in the WWE within the next month.

Mysterio made his WWE return at the Royal Rumble in January, which was his first WWE match since he faced Bad News Barrett on the Monday Night Raw following WrestleMania 30 in 2014.

He then followed this up with another appearance at the Greatest Royal Rumble in Saudi Arabia last April, but he hasn't been seen in the company since.

Since then, there has been much speculation as to when the former world champion would appear in the WWE next, or if he would sign a contract with the company.

Now we know he could be back within the next month, the question now is which brand will he appear on? Raw or SmackDown Live?

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, via Ringside News, Rey is expected to be making appearances for SmackDown once he returns to WWE.

Meltzer believes it still could go either way, but he thinks the blue brand is the more likely destination since they need more babyfaces.

The Wrestling Observer Radio host also added that having The Master of the 619 on SmackDown could also provide him with an opportunity to feud with Andrade 'Cien' Almas and elevate him as well in the WWE ranks.

Andrade "Cien" Almas would be a perfect superstar for Mysterio to feud with

Seeing Mysterio take on Almas would be fantastic, as some like Rey could definitely help take his fellow Latin American superstar to new heights in the WWE via a feud.

Mysterio will be working on the indie super show 'All In' on September 1, so he won't be working any dates for the WWE until after this.

Also, The Master of the 619 has expressed countless times in the past that he only wants to work on a part-time basis with the WWE, and not on a full-time contract.

By the looks of things, WWE is now comfortable with this, so it may only be a matter of time before we see Mysterio back in the ring for the company, and it very well could be on Tuesday nights as well.
