Juventus post tweet

No player has scored more goals than Ronaldo in the Champions League and it's no surprise that he's the leading candidate to win a third successive Ballon d'Or.

His new club, Juventus, were quick to congratulate Ronaldo on winning yet another award.

Some may see it as a classy touch but plenty of rival supporters on social media were mocking the Italian champions for congratulating Ronaldo.

After all, the goal was scored against them.

And it wasn't just fans who were mocking Juventus.

AS Roma, bemused by their rivals social media, responded to Juve's tweet with a brilliant GIF.

Ronaldo posted a tweet too, thanking all those who voted for him.

"Thanks to everyone who voted for me. Will never forget that moment, specially the reaction of the fans in the stadium. #UEFA Goal of the Season #SpecialMoment"

Ronaldo is yet to score in his first two competitive fixtures in Italy but Massimiliano Allegri believes their record signing is "settling in very well."

"Italian football is completely different to Spanish football," said Allegri, as per Goal.

"Ronaldo understands that and he is settling in very well. He's a very humble guy and I'm very pleased with the impact he has made so far."

The former Real Madrid hitman will be hoping to find the back of the net when Juventus visit Parma on Saturday evening.
