It's pretty fair to say that the tag team division in WWE is a bit of a strange place to be right now.

Some fans would even go as far to say that on RAW especially, it's a bit of a joke.

BAD BOOKING?

The B-Team, who are little more than a comedy duo, are current the red brand's tag team champs - and even beat The Revival at SummerSlam 10 nights ago.

Considering the likes of Bray Wyatt, Matt Hardy, The Authors of Pain and Titus Worldwide are alongside The B-Team and The Revival in that division, it's odd that a 'comedy' pair hold the belts.

Thankfully, the state of the SmackDown Live roster is a lot better.

NEW CHAMPIONS

At SummerSlam, The Bludgeon Brothers retained their gold after forcing a disqualification against The New Day - but two nights later, the cheated challengers got their revenge.

This time, in a No DQ match, Xavier Woods, Kofi Kingston and Big E came out on top after a brutal battle - and were crowned five-time tag team champions.

But with the likes of SAnitY, The Bar, Rusev Day, The Good Brothers and The Colons sharing the SmackDown roster, there's a chance that New Day's reign will be pretty short.

And following events in the dark match of this week's episode of SD Live, it appears that a new team could be joining the tag division very soon to add to The New Day's long list of rivals.

DEBUTING IN A DARK MATCH

According to Wrestling Inc, the dark match that followed SmackDown on Tuesday night was between SAnitY and a newly formed team of R-Truth and Tye Dillinger.

Now, a partnership between the pair has been teased in recent weeks, but it would still be pretty surprising if they actually went after the tag belts.

But, that appears to be what WWE are setting up, considering they picked up the win against SAnitY.

Although it wasn't televised, a win like that is a pretty big deal, considering the beaten stable were highly regarded in NXT, before moving to the main roster.

Adding another team to the SmackDown roster will certainly be an interesting move - and it could be one that kickstarts Dillinger's career, considering that like SAnitY, he hasn't really got started on SD either.
