Following SummerSlam, we're in an exciting period of time for WWE right now.
After a massive PPV, there's often a lot of fallout on SmackDown and RAW - and like WrestleMania, the nights soon after are usually important.
This year - a big storyline involving Kurt Angle appears to be brewing.
ON VACATION
Last week, Stephanie McMahon announced that the RAW GM needs a vacation - and left the red brand in the hands of constable Baron Corbin.
On Monday, The Lone Wolf took charge of the show - and wasted little time shaking things up.
He put himself straight into a match with Finn Balor, claiming that he was owed a bout with 'human' Finn, rather than the 'demon' he faced at SummerSlam.
Corbin also scheduled a number of other big matches, including the main event, which saw Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns tag together before Braun turned on the Universal champ.
First impressions seem to suggest that the constable is doing a pretty good job without Angle behind the scenes.
But where does that actually leave the GM himself?
WWE PLANS FOR ANGLE
Well, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsiderElite, Angle's absence from RAW could be short-lived - and he was actually backstage on Monday.
"Kurt Angle was backstage at RAW [this week]. My guess is that his vacation from television appearances will not be a long one," Johson said, per Ringside News.
"My guess is he’ll be back maybe by Hell in a Cell. Maybe sooner."
It's no secret that the former Olympic gold medallist is preparing for a return to in-ring action, and that's the reason that he's been taken off TV for a short amount of time.
Also, Johnson is suggesting that Kurt's comeback could well be against Corbin himself. That would make a lot of sense, considering the run-ins the pair have over the last few months.
"He is also training heavily for a return to the ring. Obviously there is some sort of idea for Kurt to return to the ring. The natural idea at this point would be Kurt vs. Baron Corbin."
