Jose Mourinho is cutting an increasingly desperate figure at Old Trafford and fans around the world are only asking one question: 'how many losses will Manchester United suffer before he is sacked?'

Reports suggest that the Portuguese manager could be just one loss away from feeling the wrath of the United hierarchy, and Mouriniho's erratic press-conference after his team's 3-0 loss suggests that he is feeling the pressure.

Mourinho was brought to Old Trafford in 2016 with much fanfare as the replacement for the outgoing Louis van Gaal.

At the time, United executive vice-chairman Ed Woodward described Jose, via the BBC, as "quite simply the best manager in the game today".

Mourinho was tasked with bringing Manchester United back into the European elite after a period of decay that had begun with the retirement of Alex Ferguson in 2013 and the subsequent unsuccessful revolutions of David Moyes and Van Gaal.

In his first season in charge, Mourinho's United disappointed in the league with a sixth-place finish, but completed a treble of sorts bringing home the EFL Cup, the Europa League and the Community Shield.

Since then, while United improved on their league position last season, development under Mourinho appears to have stalled with some criticising his transfer policy which has seen huge sums of cash spent, but low returns on the investment.

Many have speculated that distrust has built between Mourinho and Ed Woodward after the high profile flops of signings Alexis Sanchez and Paul Pogba leading to limited activity in the most recent transfer window.

With this in mind, GiveMeSport posed the question to fans around the globe - "Will Jose Mourinho be the first Premier League manager to be sacked this season?"

Over 41,000 of you voted, and the result was a resounding.

Sixty six percent of voters believed that Mourinho would be the next to go, while the smaller share of 34% believed that there might be a departure elsewhere before Jose says "tchau" to Old Trafford.

Despite Mourinho overseeing United's worst Premier League start since 1992, with Monday's 3-0 defeat to Tottenham condemning United to their second loss in their first three league games, some of you out there believe some other unfortunate could be soon to go.

After poor starts to the season others in the firing line appear to be Manuel Pellegrini at West Ham, Mark Hughes at Southampton and Rafa Benitez at the eternal soap opera that is Newcastle United.

Still, like the fans, the bookies believe that Mourinho will be the next to go - we might not have long to wait to see if they're right.
