Enes Kanter loves a little bit of banter on social media, and it seems his latest victim is the Milwaukee Bucks.

Earlier this summer, Kanter was deciding whether or not to opt in or out of his current contract with the New York Knicks.

During the build-up to his final decision, the Knicks star posted a deer emoji on his social media before quickly deleting it.

Many thought this was an indication that he would be signing with the Bucks this offseason, but instead, he opted into the final year of his current contract in New York.

During a recent interview with Royce Young of ESPN, Kanter was asked about a wide range of topics including this tweet, to which he used the opportunity to take a jab at the Bucks.

He may have taken a jab at Milwaukee's star man as well, Giannis Antetokounmpo, depending on how you interpret the tweet.

He said: “You gotta mess with the media a little. Because I know I was not going to go to the Milwaukee Bucks. It’s the Milwaukee Bucks. Unless they give you good, good money, then go, but you don’t leave New York for Milwaukee.”

Kanter will now play on his 2018-19 player option with the Knicks worth $18.9 million, but despite the teasing emoji tweets, he didn't actually know he would be doing this until basically the last minute.

He said: "I swear. The night before I went to my friend's house, I ate dinner and I was coming back to my house in an Uber and I was so bored. So I posted the deer emoji, and five minutes later I deleted it. On purpose.

"So everybody was talking about it. I was like, 'This is going viral, this is crazy.'"

Kanter is bound to receive a warm reception from Bucks fans when the Knicks visit the BMO Harris Bradley Center in Milwaukee to play against them in their fourth game of the new season on October 22.
