The draw for the Champions League group stage was made on Thursday evening - and it delivered some quality matchups.Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund and Monaco were all drawn in Group A; Tottenham will take on Barcelona and Inter Milan in Group B; and Liverpool will battle for progression from Group C with Paris Saint-Germain and Napoli. But the tie that will grab the headlines is Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to Manchester United.Ronaldo’s Juventus were drawn in Group H along with the Red Devils, Valencia and Young Boys. It means Ronaldo and Paul Pogba will both go back to their former clubs.Meanwhile, holders Real Madrid received a pretty favourable draw. They will face Roma, CSKA Moscow and Viktoria Plzen in Group G.It was an evening for Los Blancos to celebrate, with Luka Modric winning the 2017-18 Champions League Midfielder of the Season and UEFA Men’s Player of the Year awards. Not only that but Ronaldo was named Champions League Forward of the Season and Sergio Ramos won the award for Defender of the Season.

Lovren's comment on Instagram

Liverpool supporters didn’t enjoy watching Ramos collect his award. They still hold a grudge after he injured Mohamed Salah in the final.

The sight of Ramos tapping Salah on the shoulder as he made his way back from the stage only served to increase their fury.

It’s not just the fans who haven’t forgotten Ramos’s actions, though.

The Champions League congratulated the Spaniard on its official Instagram page, and Dejan Lovren simply had to leave a comment.

He posted the facepalm emoji, clearly highlighting his disapproval.

What Lovren would give to have another crack at Ramos and Real Madrid.

The Reds will have to get through a difficult group if they are to have any chance of setting up a rematch with Los Blancos.

PSG, with Neymar and Kylian Mbappe, will be eager to show that they can compete in Europe while Napoli, who came close to winning Serie A last season, should be taken very seriously.
