The Champions League draw was on Thursday night and it has cooked up some very exciting groups.Cristiano Ronaldo will be returning to Old Trafford in his new Juventus kit as the Italian champions were drawn with Manchester United, Valencia, and Young Boys.Europa League winner Atletico Madrid will face fellow champion underdogs Borussia Dortmund and AS Monaco in a group that also features Club Brugge.Internazionale return to the Champions League as a fourth-seed team and have paid for it, too - they'll be welcoming PSV Eindhoven, Tottenham Hotspur, and Barcelona to the Giuseppe Meazza this season. That group is rivalled as the 'group of death' however, by group C: Paris Saint-Germain, Napoli, Liverpool, and Red Star Belgrade. One of PSG, Napoli, or Liverpool are heading home early and with all three hoping to make a real impact this season, it's going to be devastating for one of them. But as daunting as that is for Jurgen Klopp's side, Liverpool fans have noticed that things might actually be even more daunting than they first look. That's because the Champions League draw has given them a daunting a run of fixtures to rival anything you'll see in Europe this season.Liverpool travel to Leicester City at the weekend and once they resume after the international break their fixtures read as follows:Sept 15: Spurs - AwaySept 18: PSG - HomeSept 22: Southampton  - HomeSept 25/26: Chelsea - HomeSept 29: Chelsea - AwayOct 3: Napoli - AwayOct 7: Manchester City - HomeHow about that for a season-defining run of games? They could find themselves off the pace in the both the Champions League and the Premier League if things don't go well. The other side of it is that they could be absolutely flying come the end of it, but no one in their right mind would choose to play so many key games all at once.Liverpool fans are rightly finding it daunting, as you can see below:

And if all that wasn't enough for Liverpool, a look further afield to December shows a little more difficulty.

Liverpool will travel to Paris to face the French champions just three days before hosting Everton in the first Merseyside derby of the season, while their hosting of Napoli on the 11th comes four days before Manchester United visit Anfield.

We'll know before too long if this really could be Liverpool's year - they're going to be given a complete test.
