Manchester United are already entering the realms of 'must-win games' in 2018/19.

The Red Devils travel to Burnley on Sunday and anything but three points at Turf Moor would be truly disastrous for both the manager and players.

Jose Mourinho's side have lost their last two games to Brighton and Tottenham, conceding six goals in the process and scoring just two.

Even their opening weekend 2-1 win over Leicester was pretty uninspiring, with the Foxes dominating United at Old Trafford for large periods of the game.

Mourinho's job has been called into question a number of times, leading to the manager labelling himself 'one of the greatest in the world' during his press conference on Friday.

"I am the manager of the one of the greatest clubs in the world but I'm also one of the greatest managers in the world," said Mourinho.

He doesn't help himself sometimes, does he?

At the same time as Mourinho's conference, Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola was doing his duties with the media and he was asked about his adversary.

And his answer speaks volumes about how manager's view their counterparts in times of trouble like this.

“Unfortunately it’s our job,” Guardiola said. “Our job depends on results. When we win we are good, when we don’t we are not good.

“When you get to that level, they are top, top managers.”

Guardiola also refused to rule United out the title race, saying: “They remain a great, top team.

“We’re in August. There are a lot of points to play for and the real season starts after the international break - every three games, the travelling and no time to prepare for the games.

Despite the two being enemies on the touchline throughout their careers, it's refreshing to see a huge level of respect during a tough time for Mourinho.
