It was just a matter of time, wasn’t it?

Alisson’s high-risk style of goalkeeping had impressed Liverpool fans so far this season, with his dink of Anthony Knockaert getting everyone talking last week.

Although you got the impression that Jurgen Klopp didn’t enjoy it too much.

"That's not too cool for a manager. If it works then it's cool," Klopp said earlier this week.

"Alisson is obviously a goalkeeper who can play football, which is good. He's confident enough to do it. He didn't do it for showing off, he did it to sort the situation.

"He has a nice level of confidence, so he uses that. I like the save from the header more than the chip, but the chip was the right thing to do in that situation."

But the Brazilian goalkeeper tried it once again against Leicester - this time it didn’t come off.

Liverpool had been disappointing against the Foxes but led 2-0 thanks to goals from Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.

But Alisson gave Leicester a way back into the match just after the hour mark.

Virgil van Dijk put him in a spot of bother but the ‘keeper’s decision to try and take on Kelechi Iheanacho was madness.

Iheanacho nicked the ball off him and it eventually fell to Rachid Ghezzal, who made it 2-1.

Oh dear.

Cameras immediately panned to Klopp to see his reaction - and it’s fair to say he wasn’t happy.

He gestured to Alisson as if to say: “Just clear the ball up the f***ing pitch!”

Klopp was speaking for Liverpool fans around the world…

We doubt Alisson will be taking any chances on the ball on the coming months…
