Liverpool will head into the international break with 12 points having won their opening four matches in the Premier League.Jurgen Klopp’s side earned all three points against Leicester on Saturday lunchtime, thanks to first-half goals from Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.Alisson’s howler on the hour mark allowed Rachid Ghezzal to get Leicester back into the match. But Liverpool held on, despite a rather insipid performance.Klopp made one change from Liverpool’s 1-0 victory over Brighton last weekend, with captain Jordan Henderson replacing summer signing Naby Keita. It was certainly a change that shocked many Liverpool fans considering the start Keita has made to his Liverpool career. But with Henderson struggling to get up to speed at the King Power Stadium, he was eventually replaced by Keita with 20 minutes remaining. At the time, Liverpool were under the cosh as the home side pressed for a deserved equaliser. However, after the skipper left the pitch and Keita was introduced, Liverpool appeared to control the game.Leicester failed to put Liverpool under much pressure towards the end of the match and many fans believe it was due to Henderson’s substitution.Liverpool supporters feel their side looked so much better without Henderson on the pitch as they held on for all three points.

LIVERPOOL WERE BETTER WITHOUT HENDERSON

Check out the reaction:

Ahead of the game, Klopp explained exactly why he had brought Henderson back into the starting XI for the trip to Leicester.

“I thought it made sense for the game today," Klopp said.

"We have to [be], if you want, rock solid, in all departments because Leicester is a good football-playing side, so we need to defend very well, to be really compact and all different things so it helps when the boys are used to this.

“This midfield played pretty much the last third of the last season unchanged, so that’s the reason.

“On the other hand, it’s about being fresh and all that stuff.”
