You just can't help but love The Sheild when they get back together.

Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins emerged as one of the most devastating trios in WWE history in late 2012 and have all gone on to become world champions in the company, too.

However, there is something about their magic as three-piece that fans can't help but adore and the Hounds of Justice have reunited once again.

Of course, the initial reunion occurred late last year, but a nasty illness to Reigns and then a serious injury for Ambrose cut the legs from underneath them.

After breaking up in 2014, the reunion had been a long time coming and fans wondered if when Ambrose returned from his triceps injury if he would return a heel.

Thus far, that hasn't proved to be the case and the Lunatic Fringe has settled in nicely alongside Seth Rollins in his feud with Dolph Ziggler and Drew McIntyre.

Two weeks ago, both Ambrose and Rollins came to Reigns' aid against Braun Strowman to officially reunite The Shield, but fans have wondered where the storyline is going.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the WWE have primarily reunited the group because they want to capitalise on merchandise sales - not for any real storyline purposes.

Of course, the WWE have many options when dealing with The Shield, but it doesn't seem like a short-term thing if they want to make money from the group.

Considering all three men are main event players on Raw right now, it's hard to believe the company don't have plans far in advance for them and this is just something they fancied doing for the sake of money.

The Shield's booking over the next couple of months is sure to be fascinating, but don't be surprised if they stay a unit until around Survivor Series time when a dream six-man tag could ensue.
